OMWB On Tour

"What does an inspector do?" Every year, the Omgevingsdienst Midden- en West-Brabant (or OMWB) organizes a week where you can get up close and experience what inspectors do on a daily basis. Interested colleagues from OMWB and their clients can participate in the events, such as shadowing an inspector during an environmental inspection or an energy audit at an industrial company.

Waste inspection

Refurb Battery was pleased to open its doors to environmental inspector René, who demonstrated how an inspection in the waste sector is conducted. René: "For 'OMWB on tour,' several clients of the Environmental Protection Agency for Central and West Brabant (Omgevingsdienst Midden- en West-Brabant or OMWB) joined me for an inspection at Refurb Battery, an innovative company that ensures discarded (bike) batteries don't end up as waste. The safe storage of Lithium-ion batteries, in particular, is becoming increasingly important here and at many other waste processing companies. In consultation with OMWB and the safety region, a great solution has been found for this company."
