As Manufacturing Engineer, your core mission will be to optimize and advance our startup's production capabilities to enable us to give discarded batteries new life.
You will pioneer new disassembly and rebuilding processes, designing layouts and implementing solutions that maximize quality, efficiency, and safety. Your technical expertise and hands-on approach will be critical as we scale up operations.
By leading process improvements, you'll expand our capacity to reduce e-waste and dependence on virgin materials for batteries. Coaching staff and promoting collaboration will ensure our team has the skills to achieve our renewable energy vision.

Watt will I be doing?
As Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of optimizing our production processes and capabilities.
On a daily basis, you'll design efficient layouts, implement process improvements, troubleshoot issues, measure performance, and find ways to enhance quality and output.
You'll collaborate with suppliers to bring in new equipment and work closely with staff to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
Leading start-of-shift meetings and providing training will be key to empowering the team and transferring your technical knowledge.
You'll generate reports and documentation like FMEAs to institutionalize robust processes. Finding creative solutions to ramp up throughput in a safe, sustainable manner will be an ongoing focus.
In this hands-on role, you'll tackle new challenges daily - configuring lines, installing equipment, refining processes and helping solve problems on the floor.
Your manufacturing expertise and passion for operational excellence will drive our startup forward in re-purposing batteries to reduce waste and enable renewable energy.
A day in the life at Refurb...
At Refurb Battery, no two days are ever the same for our Manufacturing Engineers. You'll arrive at our production facility ready to maximize uptime and output.
You might start by meeting suppliers at the dock to coordinate a new equipment installation. After on-site configuration, you'll work closely with staff to ensure proper operation.
Leading the daily stand-up meeting, you'll review targets, address challenges and align with production leads. Visibility and collaboration are vital.
Throughout your shift, you'll be monitoring the lines, implementing improvements, and coaching team members to optimize processes. Brainstorming solutions to bottlenecks is a constant focus.
When issues arise, you'll tap into your technical expertise to troubleshoot and get production back on track. Your hands-on approach drives progress.
At day's end, you'll analyze operational data to identify efficiency gains, safety concerns, quality risks and training needs.
As a true startup pioneer, you'll wear many hats - line builder, equipment installer, maintenance manager and staff trainer. Your grit keeps our startup moving forward sustainably.
